Italian symphonic metal band Aqvilea reveals an important lineup change: Finnish opera singer Kate Nord takes the role as the group's new frontwoman, replacing Cae Lys. Kate Nord has already recorded the band's upcoming single, and the renovated lineup will make their debut on Sunday, June 25th, at the historic Tempora reenactment in Aquileia, Italy.
The change comes as a result of Cae Lys' numerous commitments, which made it impossible to continue with the project. "We deeply appreciate her professionalism and contributions," states Aqvilea's founder, Pier Lando Baldinelli, while the departing singer expresses her well wishes, saying, "I hope the band achieves the success they deserve."
”Finding a suitable replacement wasn't easy," explains Pier Lando, "but Kate surpasses all expectations. Her talent and personality amazed us, and with her on board, we believe this project will soar to new heights."
Kate Nord, a composer, producer, and versatile performer, also serves as the lyricist for the progressive power band Noveria. Recently, she released her debut solo album, "Compass to Your Heart's Desire."
Currently, the band is diligently working on their sophomore album, titled "New World Era," set to be produced by Fredrik Nordström. Fans have already been treated to a preview with the single "Activm."
