After the platform has already presented some amazing movies and documentaries with 'RocKabul', 'A Punk Daydream', 'Growling Mountains' or 'Soaring Highs And Brutal Lows', THE PIT (also known as the first SVOD platform dedicated to the ROCK & METAL universe) unveils a new amazing content with 'Sound Of Scars', a feature documentary about Life Of Agony, available now on the platform.
The story of how three friends overcame domestic violence, substance abuse and depression to form one of the most influential bands in their genre. Through the success of their breakthrough 1993 debut, River Runs Red, hailed by Rolling Stone as "one of the greatest metal albums of all time," they channeled their cumulative life stories into a soundtrack for a broken generation. While their newfound fame allowed them to escape the tragedies of their past, unforeseen obstacles arose in the wake of their successes.
"For this film, we completely tore open our innermost selves," says guitarist Joey Zampella. "The audience and our fan base will completely understand the mold from which we were broken and what this journey means to us."
The 90-minute film also addresses singer Mina Caputo's gender transition. "We've never shied away from difficult conversations, and we don't pretend to have all the answers," Caputo says. "But this film is a roadmap with a lot of great lessons. It shows a lot of vulnerability... Moments when we fall down, and others when we're strong. Enjoy this gift of imperfection. May you find the tools to be braver with this film."
The Sound of Scars uses personal archival footage, rare photographs and lost interviews, as well as new, never-before-seen conversations with the band Life of Agony and their family members.
